The station is owned by Transalta Corporation (NYSE:TAC) (Calgary, Alberta).

Plant officials said that they have analyzed the issue; however, the investigation is ongoing. Officials are preparing to clear out debris and make any necessary repairs before returning the unit online. Sources anticipate the unit will be out of service for a few days and will return to service on Saturday, October 26, if there are no additional delays.

The plant has three operational units that total 806 megawatts (MW) of generating capacity when at full load. Units 1 and 3 continue to generate online. Transalta Corporation is an electric power generator and wholesale marketing company. It operates more than 70 power plants in the U.S., Canada and Australia.
