U.S. Crude Oil Production Soars 14.3% in March - U.S. crude oil output jumped 14.3% to 11.2 million barrels per day (BBL/d) in March from 9.8 million BBL/d in February, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said in its monthly 914 production report on Friday. Output sank 1.3 million BBL/d in February when extreme weather froze natural gas and oil wells. That 1.4 million-BBL/d increase in March was the biggest monthly gain on record, according to EIA data going back to 2005. (Reuters)

Kinder Morgan to Buy Stagecoach Gas Services - Kinder Morgan Incorporated (NYSE:KMI) (Houston, Texas) said on Tuesday it has agreed to buy Stagecoach Gas Services LLC (Owego, New York) for $1.23 billion as the pipeline operator looks to expand into the northeast U.S. market. Stagecoach is a natural gas pipeline and storage joint venture between Consolidated Edison Incorporated (NYSE:ED) (New York, New York) and Crestwood Equity Partners LP (NYSE:CEQP) (Houston).
