ONEOK Announces Completion of Elk Creek NGL Pipeline - ONEOK (NYSE:OKE) announced that its 900-mile Elk Creek natural gas liquids (NGL) pipeline has been completed. U.S. Holds Most Successful Alaska Oil, Gas Auction in 13 Years - The U.S. held its most successful Alaska oil and gas lease sale in more than a decade, officials said, with the majority of bids coming from a new player, North Slope Exploration LLC. There were more than $11 million in total high bids for about 1 million acres in the National Petroleum Reserve of Alaska, according to Ted Murphy, Alaska associate state director for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. It stands as the state's biggest sale in terms of dollars since 2006. (Reuters)

Chevron Authorizes Anchor Project in Gulf of Mexico - Chevron (NYSE:CVX) said Thursday it will move forward with the massive Anchor project in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico that carries an initial development cost of $5.7 billion.
