Saudi Aramco and Sabic are performing front-end engineering design (FEED) for the Crude Oil-to-Chemical (COTC) project.
Saudi Aramco and Sabic are performing front-end engineering design (FEED) for the Crude Oil-to-Chemical (COTC) project, which will be located in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia (see map below). The first-of-its-kind complex is estimated to cost $20 billion and will be able to process 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day, and produce about 9 million tons per year of petrochemical products like olefins, aromatics and derivatives. KBR and Wood have been selected as project management consultant (PMC) and FEED contractors. The complex is planned to begin operations by the end of 2025.
