U.S. Demand Fuels Boom in Orders

Siemens AG is upbeat about its prospects for the coming year--particularly in the U.S., where a rapid growth in energy demand is fueling development of the company's Power Industry equipment. Siemens recently announced it had finalized a plan to invest US$1 billion to ramp up manufacturing of gas turbines and power-grid solutions across its U.S.-based businesses.
