Site Preparation Has Begun for $35 Million Brick Manufacturing Plant in North Carolina

Site preparation for the new 300,000 square foot building began in February 2004, and the company plans to have it operational by the end of 2004, or early 2005.

Triangle Brick Company (Durham, North Carolina) chose Myrick Construction Incorporated, headquartered in Biscoe, North Carolina as the general contractor for a new brick manufacturing plant, to be constructed adjacent to their existing plant located in Wadesboro, North Carolina (Plant 1062901).

Site preparation for the new 300,000 square foot building began in February 2004, and the company plans to have it operational by the end of 2004, or early 2005. The new state of the art facility will be equipped with a computerized controlled kiln, high tech robotic machinery, and packaging equipment. In addition to the 110 million bricks per year that the current 50 employees produce, they expect to hire an additional 50 employees to handle the additional 150 million bricks per year the new plant will be producing.

Triangle Brick Company was founded in 1959 in Durham, North Carolina. They currently have three plants in North Carolina producing 350 million bricks per year, and with the addition of the new plant to their portfolio, capacity will be at 500 million bricks per year, strengthening its position as the largest brick manufacturing company in North Carolina.

Myrick Construction Incorporated was founded in 1968 and has a location in Greensboro North Carolina and is licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. They have experience in constructing distribution and manufacturing plants, office, retail business and shop construction.
