South Korea's POSCO to Introduce Electric Arc Furnaces
POSCO (Pohang, South Korea) is upping its carbon-neutrality plan from a 10% reduction by 2030 to 35% by 2035

The company's latest steelmaking technology, HyREX, which uses a hydrogen reduction method, is expected to be "net-zero" after 2050.
Until the HyREX technology is established, POSCO plans to introduce electric-arc technology to extend the life of blast furnaces. Industrial Info is tracking more than US$1.8 billion worth of active and planned furnace-development projects from POSCO.
