BASF Total Petrochemicals is in the process of restarting its 2,293 million-pound-per-year ethylene unit in Port Arthur, Texas. The unit was shut down on November 10 due to a compressor issue.

LG Chemical Limited has taken 595 million pounds per year offline from the 2.8 billion-pound-per-year ethylene unit at its Seosan Daesan Chemicals plant in South Korea, due to market conditions. Expectations are to restart the unit by February 24, 2023.
