LyondellBasell has begun production at its new 1 billion-pound-per-year Propylene Oxide (PO) and approximately 2.2 billion-pound-per-year Tertiary Butyl Alcohol (TBA) units in Channelview, Texas, and at its new oxyfuels (ETBE) unit in Bayport, Texas.

Total Petrochemicals France is preparing to restart its 1,146 million-pound-per-year Gonfreville Petrochemical Plant in France, which was shut down on March 26 due to an ongoing strike action. Full production is expected to resume by early next week.

Versalis France SA continues with an unplanned shutdown of the 837 million-pound-per-year Ethylene Steam Cracker at its Dunkerque Nord Petrochemicals Plant in France. The restart is expected in late April.

Dow Chemical Iberica SA has started a planned 30-day maintenance turnaround of the 350 million-pound-per-year High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Unit, 350 million-pound-per-year Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) Unit and 661 million-pound-per-year Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) Unit at its La Canonja Petrochemicals (Dow Sur) Plant in Spain. The restart is expected May 11.
