INEOS' 1.7 billion-pound-per-year Olefins 1 ethylene unit at its Chocolate Bayou Olefins Plant in Alvin, Texas, remains shut down. The unit shut down on April 26 for maintenance. Expectations are to restart the unit before June 15.

Shell Chemical, on May 15, shut down its 1,409 million-pound-per-year GO-1S ethylene unit in Norco, Louisiana due to an equipment failure. Expectations are to restart the unit by May 22.

Sasol's 920 million-pound-per-year ethylene unit in Lake Charles, Louisiana, remains shut down. The unit shut down on March 20 and is expected to remain down for multiple months while repairing a compressor. IIR will continue to monitor the outage and update accordingly.

Maruzen Petrochemical Company Limited, on May 15, began a 59-day planned turnaround of the 1,157 million-pound-per-year ethylene (3EP) unit and 670.2 million-pound-per-year propylene unit at its Ichihara Chiba Chemical Complex in Japan. Expectations are to restart the units by July 12.

JNC Petrochemical Corporation, on May 15, began a 39-day planned turnaround of the 138 million-pound-per-year High-Density Polyethylene Resins (HDPE) Unit at its Ichihara Goi Chemicals Plant in Japan. Expectations are to restart the unit by June 22.
