Appalachian Power Company moved out turbine maintenance and other work at its Mountaineer Power Station in West Virginia, and as a result, the coal-fired, 1,300-megawatt (MW) Mountaineer 01 unit now will be offline starting March 29. Expectations are to restart the unit April 18.

Duke Energy Progress LLC rescheduled the restart of the 938-MW Brunswick 01 unit at its Brunswick Nuclear Power Station in North Carolina. Expectations now are to restart the unit March 14.

Mountain Creek Power, LLC's natural gas-fired 581-MW Mountain Creek 08 and 136-MW Mountain Creek 06 units are offline for preventative turbine and boiler inspections, among other work, at its Mountain Creek Power Station in Texas. Expectations are to restart Mountain Creek 06 on March 11 and Mountain Creek 08 on March 17.
