Appalachian Power Company moved out turbine maintenance and other work at its Mountaineer Power Station in West Virginia, and as a result, the coal-fired, 1,300-megawatt (MW) Mountaineer 01 unit now will be offline starting March 29. Expectations are to restart the unit April 18.
Duke Energy Progress LLC rescheduled the restart of the 938-MW Brunswick 01 unit at its Brunswick Nuclear Power Station in North Carolina. Expectations now are to restart the unit March 14.
