Georgia Power Company's 1,150-megawatt (MW) Vogtle 01 unit is offline for a planned refueling outage and other work at its Alvin W Vogtle Nuclear Power Station in Georgia. The event is expected to end October 1.
Tennessee Valley Authority rescheduled the restart of the 1,130-MW Sequoyah 02 unit at its Sequoyah Nuclear Power Station in Tennessee, but expectations are to return the unit to service September 21.
Energie NB Power rescheduled the restart of the Point Lepreau 01 unit at its Point Lepreau Nuclear Station in New Brunswick. NB Power said that during startup a "critical issue" related to the 660-MW power plant's main generator was identified and needs to be addressed before the station can return to service. "Full extent of this issue is still being investigated and we are working toward resolving it."
