Valero, on April 29, experienced a process upset on the 75,0000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) fluid catalytic converter unit (FCCU) 1241, which remains shut for an unknown duration at its 395,000-BBL/d Port Arthur, Texas refinery. The FCCU 1241 had undergone a 61-day turnaround from January 13 to March 13.

International
Repsol Peru has completed planned repairs at its 110,000-BBL/d La Pampilla, Peru, refinery. The turnaround on the 80,000-BBL/d Crude Primary Distillation 2 (UDP II), 36,000-BBL/d Vacuum 2, 13,500-BBL/d FCCU (U-21), 32,000-BBL/d Diesel Hydrotreater (U-26) and associated units, which began on March 11, finished on April 24.

Abadan Oil Refining Company (AORC), on April 30, restarted the 130,000-BBL/d (actual 85,000-BBL/d) Crude Distillation Unit 3 at its 450,000-BBL/d Abadan Refinery in Iran. The unit had been in an unplanned shutdown since April 28 due to minor fire in a distillation column.
