Motiva is in the process of restarting the 81,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Fluid Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) 3 and 18,000-BBL/d Sulfuric Alkylation (SF Alky) Unit at its 640,000-BBL/d refinery in Port Arthur, Texas. The units were shut down after a process upset on July 30.

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), today, August 1, began the planned 43-day plant-wide turnaround of its 300,000-BBL/d Paradip Refinery in India. Expectations are to complete the repairs and restart the units by September 12. Eight major units are included.
Ceylon Petroleum has delayed the restart of its 40,000-BBL/d (design capacity: 50,000 BBL/d) Colombo Refinery in Sri Lanka, after being forced to shut down on June 25 due to a crude oil supply shortage. Tentative expectations are to restart the refinery by August 31. Eight major units are included.
Indeni Petroleum Refinery Company has delayed the restart of its 24,000-BBL/d Bwanamkubwa Refinery in Zambia, after being forced to shut down by the government on November 5, 2021 due to inefficient operations and high product cost. Tentative expectations are to restart the units by October 15. Four major units are included.
