Phillips 66, on June 11, shut down the 14,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Hydrofluoric Alkylation (HF alky) Unit at its 146,000-BBL/d refinery in Borger, Texas, as issues continue with the 78,000-BBL/d Gas Oil Hydrodesulfurizer Unit 42

North America
Phillips 66, on June 11, shut down the 14,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Hydrofluoric Alkylation (HF alky) Unit at its 146,000-BBL/d refinery in Borger, Texas, as issues have continued with the 78,000-BBL/d Gas Oil Hydrodesulfurizer Unit 42 since May 17. The latter unit is running at a reduced rate, possibly until June 17. The 41,000-BBL/d Crude Unit 9, 37,000-BBL/d Crude 10 and 68,000-BBL/d Crude 28 are running at minimum rates, and the 30,000-BBL/d Fluid Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) 40 if offline, until the gas oil unit returns to normal rates.

International
PetroChina Daqing Petrochemical Company Limited, on June 10, began a 50-day plant-wide turnaround involving seven units at its 200,000-BBL/d Daqing Refinery in China. Expectations are to restart the units by July 29.

Middle East Oil Refinery (MIDOR) has delayed the commercial startup of the 60,000-BBL/d Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) 2 at its 115,000-BBL/d MIDOR Alexandria Refinery in Egypt. Expectations are to begin a test run by August 15, and tentative expectations are to begin commercial operations by September 15. After the startup, the refinery's design capacity will increase from 115,000 BBL/d to 175,000 BBL/d.
