Troy Energy LLC Expects Early Summer 2002 Commercial Operation of 600 MW Electric Peaking Plant in Ohio

The following is an advisory by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Troy Energy LLC (Richmond, Virginia), a subsidiary of Dominion (NYSE:D) (Richmond, Virginia), plans to have a 600 mega-watt (MW) gas turbine peaking plant online by early summer of 2002. Generating equipment will include four (4) GE combustion turbine generators each rated at 150 MW.

The facility is being constructed on 40 acres centered within a 500-acre parcel of land in the Lemoyne Industrial Park, in Troy Township, Wood County. The facility is located at the intersection of State Routes 20/23 and Pemberville Road, approximately two miles northeast of Luckey, Ohio.

General Electric Power Systems (Norcross, Georgia) was selected as the engineering and construction firm on this facility and began construction in the late summer of 2001.
