TS Tech USA Completes Construction of Manufacturing Plant in Indiana

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--TS Tech USA Corporation (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) has completed construction for a $32 million automotive manufacturing plant in New Castle, Indiana, to produce seats and interior trim pieces for Honda of America Manufacturing Incorporated (Marysville, Ohio), a subsidiary of Honda Motor Company Limited (NYSE:HMC) (Tokyo, Japan). The new facility will be a joint venture for TS Tech and its sister company, TS Tech North America Incorporated (Reynoldsburg).

Site preparation began in April 2007 with building construction starting in June for the grassroot 200,000-square-foot building located on 60.4 acres in the Castle/Henry County Industrial Park, which included installation of new equipment. The facility was built to produce 800 seats per year for Honda Civics assembled at the Greensburg, Indiana, plant which is under construction and is expected to go into operation in September 2008. Approximately 300 jobs will be created by 2009.

Runnebohm Construction Incorporated (Shelbyville, Indiana) provided general construction services for the new plant, and Rosefeld Electric Incorporated (Rushville, Indiana) provided electrical services.
