Venture Global to Buy Gas for Louisiana LNG Plant from Repsol - U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) company Venture Global LNG LLC (Arlington, Virginia) has agreed to buy natural gas for its Plaquemines LNG export plant in Louisiana, expected to start up in 2024, from a unit of Spanish energy company Repsol SA (Madrid). Venture Global said the Repsol contract was for 18.25 billion cubic feet per year and will last three years, according to the company's filing with the U.S. Department of Energy. TC Energy Reports Fourth-Quarter Income - Pipeline operator TC Energy Corporation (NYSE:TRP) (Calgary, Alberta) reported fourth-quarter 2021 net income of C$1.12 billion (US$880.3 million), unchanged from the same period of 2020. The company said it was advancing commercially secured projects worth C$24 billion (US$18.9 billion), and those worth about C$6.5 billion (US$5.1 billion) are expected to enter service in 2022. Continental Resources to Raise Annual Capital Spending - Exploration and production company Continental Resources Incorporated (NYSE:CLR) (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) said it expects to spend $2.3 billion in 2022. Last year its capital spending totaled $1.56 billion. Excluding acquisitions, the capital spending budget is up 15%, finance chief John Hart said on the company's earnings call. (Reuters)
