World's Longest LPG Pipeline Moves Toward Completion

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Four years ago, a conglomerate of Indian oil majors formed the joint venture IHB Private Limited (Uttar Pradesh, India) to fulfill the dream of constructing the world's longest liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) pipeline in India. The 2,805-kilometer Kandla-Gorakhpur LPG pipeline is under construction, and the first phase of construction is on track to be completed soon.

The pipeline will source LPG from LPG import terminals on India's western coast at Kandla, Dahej, Pipavav and from two refineries at Koyali and Bina.
