China's Sinopec Hikes Investments in Hunan Province

Early in 2022, Sinopec announced it would build a 1.5 million-ton-per-year ethylene unit in Hunan for US$4.7 billion. The project would include 13 other chemical units to develop ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) and polyethylene (PE), among other products.
