Enbridge to Proceed With Algonquin Gas Pipeline Expansion - Enbridge Incorporated (Calgary, Alberta) said on Tuesday it has reached a final investment decision to go ahead with the Algonquin gas transmission (AGT) pipeline expansion to capitalize on growing natural gas demand in the United States. Once completed, the expanded pipeline will deliver about 75 million cubic feet per day of incremental natural gas under long-term contracts in the U.S. Northeast. Enbridge expects to invest $300 million in system upgrades and fully complete the AGT enhancement in 2029. Venezuela's Oil Exports Rise to Nine-Month High - Venezuela's oil exports surpassed 900,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) in August, the highest level since November, after energy producer Chevron Corporation (Houston, Texas) received a license that has allowed the country's crude oil to return to the U.S. market after a four-month pause, shipping data showed. The resumption of Chevron flows to the U.S., coupled with larger cargoes to Venezuela's primary destination of China, led to a 27% increase in exports last month to an average of 966,485 BBl/d, according to data based on tanker movements. Ingeteam Reports Startup of 640-MW Texas Solar Farm - The 640-megawatt (MW) Parliament Solar plant in Texas has been commissioned, Spanish power conversion specialist Ingeteam (Zamudio, Spain) said on Tuesday. The company supplied photovoltaic inverters for the project, which Parliament Solar (Waller, Texas) developed in Waller County near Houston.
