Automotive Supplier Breaks Ground on $20 Million Expansion

The expansion will add an additional 180,000 square feet to the eighteen-year-old plant located in Peterborough. As a result of the expansion, the plant will be able to increase production levels of metal and plastic components such as body molding trim, bumpers, jack systems, and door & hood hinges for the automotive industry.

Cornerstone Builders Limited (Belleville, Ontario), is the design-build contractor for the project and construction is expected to be complete in early 2005 with the additional production capacity coming on-line by March.

Ventra Plastics, a division of Ventra Group Incorporated (Peterborough, Ontario), a subsidiary of Flex-N-Gate Corporation, which operates thirty-eight manufacturing plants in six different countries.
