Baikal Mining Company Selects General Construction Contractor for Russian Copper Project, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Baikal Mining Company has awarded Renaissance Heavy Industries the contract for construction, testing and commissioning of its $2.9 billion Udokan copper mining project in Russia, according to a company press release. The contract is approximately 28 billion rubles ($400 million) and includes installation of technological equipment and the supply of remaining material for a concentrator, crushing and conveyor complex. Renaissance Heavy Industries plans to start structural erection in the next three months.
