It's official! Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE:GOLD) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (NYSE:NEW) have finalized a combination of their Nevada mining assets. The new company will be known as Nevada Gold Mines LLC and will be owned 61.5% by Barrick and 38.5% by Newmont. Twenty-two mines and other facilities in Nevada are part of the combination, creating one the largest mining complexes in the world.
