Brazil's Instituto de Tecnologia em Imunobiologicos Bio-Manguinhos (Institute of Technology in Immunobiology Bio-Manguinhos) started construction in August of a 200,000-square-meter final processing center, for the Complexo Industrial de Biotecnologia em Saude (Cibs), or Industrial Complex of Biotechnology for Health, in Santa Cruz, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Once the project is completed in 2023, the facility is expected to produce 120 million vials per year of vaccines for meningitis, hepatitis and triple bacterial infections.

The Instituto de Tecnologia em Imunobiologicos Bio-Manguinhos has a production plant in Rio de Janeiro and a grassroot project in Eusebio, in the state of Ceara.
