China Huadian Signs Several Wind Power Agreements

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Huadian New Energy Development Company Limited (Beijing) has signed more wind power development agreements with local governments recently. The agreements were made soon after the company signed a cooperative development agreement for the 1,000-megawatt (MW) Wutaohai windfarm with the government of Kesheketeng Banner in Chifeng City of northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

In December 2007, Huadian New Energy signed an agreement for the 150-MW Tieling windfarm with the government of Tieling County in Tieling City in northeastern China's Liaoning Province.

On January 3, 2008, Huadian New Energy signed an agreement for the 1,000-MW Fengshuishan windfarm with the government of Daqing City in northeastern China's Jilin Province.

On January 24, 2008, Huadian New Energy and the government of the Dinghai District of Zhoushan City signed an agreement for a 37.5-MW wind power project to be built in two phases. Sixteen 750-kilowatt wind turbines will be built in Phase I and 34 wind turbines of the same capacity will be built in Phase II.

On the same day, the company signed an agreement for the 200-MW Shiqingshan windfarm with the government of Hulin City in northeastern China's Heilongjiang Province. The project is planned to be built in phases. Phase I, comprising 45 MW, is awaiting approval and is scheduled to start construction within this year.
