Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China)--The first bucket of concrete for the main powerhouse foundation of China Resources Power Tangshan Fengrun Company Limited's (Tangshan, Hebei) Tangshan West Suburban Cogeneration Project (also referred as the Phase III Expansion of Tangshan West Suburban Thermal Power Plant) was placed by Anhui Electric Power Construction No.1 Engineering Company (AEPC1) (Hefei, Anhui), a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) (Beijing), on May 10, 2013. The construction of the project has kicked off, according to an announcement from the CEEC on May 13.
The Tangshan West Suburban Cogeneration Project, located in Fengrun District of Tangshan City, is a key environmental project for Tangshan City. The project is furnished with two 350-megawatt (MW) extraction condensing coal-fired units for the combined heat and power supply. Upon completion, the project will replace the small, coal-fired boilers scattered in its service area, as well as the existing three units in the current Tangshan West Suburban Thermal Power Plant, including two 50-MW, extraction-condensing heat supply steam turbine generators, with three 220-ton-per-hour, conventional, pulverized, coal-fired boilers built in Phase I and a 200-MW, extraction-condensing, heat supply steam turbine generators. The generators will include a 670-ton-per-hour, extra-high-pressure, intermediate, single-reheat, pulverized, coal-fired boiler built in Phase II.
According to the contract, APEC1 is responsible for the construction of Bid A & Bid B in the project, which mainly involve the erection of units 1 and 2; the 220-kilovolt outdoor electrical devices from the main powerhouse to the step-up substation; the erection of the circulating water pipeline, as well as the erection of equipment inside the circulating water pump room; the erection of equipment in the startup boiler room; the construction of the main earthing network; and the maintenance of plant's overall construction power supply.
According to the schedule, both units will be put into operation in second half of 2014.
