Marathon to Sell $950 Million in Assets - Marathon Oil Corporation (NYSE:MRO) (Houston, Texas) has secured agreements to sell $950 million of assets, including all of its Wyoming upstream and midstream assets for $870 million.

CRUDE OIL
Iran Oil Exports Continue Surge - Petroleum market research firm Genscape reports that Iran's crude oil exports grew by 140,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) in March, reaching 1.7 million BBL/d. In total the country's exports have grown by 600,000 BBL/d since December.

U.S. Crude Imports from Canada Highest on Record in 2015 - The U.S. Energy Information Administration reports that although overall crude imports to the U.S. remained well below their 2005 peak, imports from Canada were the highest on record in 2015 at 3.2 million BBL/d, representing a 10% increase from 2014, and accounting for 43% of U.S. crude oil imports.

POWER
U.S. Wind Power Construction in 2015 Highest in Three Years - A report from the American Wind Energy Association says that more that 8,500 megawatts of wind power was constructed in the U.S. in 2015, almost double what was constructed in 2014.

Study: Offshore Wind Power Could Surge if Massachusetts Makes a Big Commitment - An omnibus energy bill being developed in the Massachusetts House of Representatives contains a provision committing the state to buy power from offshore windfarms totaling up to 2,000 megawatts (MW). That bill is temporarily stalled behind a solar energy bill. But if it becomes law, which is no sure thing, windpower advocates say it could jump start the U.S. offshore wind industry.
