EIA: U.S. Natural Gas Production to Skyrocket in 2018 - U.S. natural gas production growth is expected to surge in 2018, after rising more modestly in 2017, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said in a monthly report Tuesday. U.S. dry natural gas production was forecast to rise to 73.45 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) in 2017 from 72.85 Bcf/d in 2016, according to the EIA's Short-Term Energy Outlook. The EIA also projected natural gas production would rise to 78.90 Bcf/d in 2018, up from a forecast of 78.49 Bcf/d issued in October. (Reuters)

U.S. Distillate Exports Rise in 2017 - U.S. distillate exports have continued to increase in 2017, both in volume and as a share of total distillate production. Distillate exports from the United States reached a record high in July 2017 of 1.7 million barrels per day (BBL/d). In August, exports of distillate fell to 1.4 million BBL/d when Hurricane Harvey resulted in port closures. Based on data through August, distillate exports have accounted for 28% of the total distillate produced in the United States in 2017. (EIA)

Williams Responds to Temporary Stay on Atlantic Sunrise Project - Williams Partners L.P. (NYSE:WPZ) filed a Motion for Clarification of an administrative stay issued Monday by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commissions' (FERC) authorization of the company's Atlantic Sunrise natural gas pipeline project. The purpose of the administrative stay is to give the court sufficient opportunity to consider an emergency motion filed by project opponents last week requesting FERC extend a comprehensive four-year permitting process even further. Plains All American Says Diamond Crude Oil Line to Start in December - Plains All American Pipeline (NYSE:PAA) is set to start up its Diamond crude oil pipeline in December with volumes ramping up early next year, company executives said on the third-quarter earnings call on Tuesday. (Reuters)
