Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)-Dot Foods Incorporated (Mount Sterling, Illinois) plans to break ground this week on a $15 million food redistribution center in Burley, Idaho. The facility will be built on a 40-acre site, at the southeast corner of 100 South and 100 West. Plans call for a 140,000-square-foot multi-temperature building for distributing dry and frozen goods. Once operational in the summer of 2008, the facility will be the ninth in the Dot Foods network of distribution centers.
The company has awarded Stellar Group (Jacksonville, Florida) a contract for the facilitys design and construction. Stellar, acting as the general contractor, is seeking subcontractors to perform various aspects of the building construction, including HVAC, refrigeration and other trades.
Industrial Info is tracking more than $100 million in project activity related to food distribution centers in the Rocky Mountain region.
