Dot Foods to Establish New Food Distribution Center in Southern Oklahoma

Dot recently acquired 12-acres of property that was vacated by Best Buy last year and will convert the existing 121,000 square foot building into a food distribution center. Plans are to add an additional 65,000 square feet of new construction space for a 55,000 square foot freezer and 10,000 square foot maintenance building. A cooler will also be added to the existing structure with the remaining area dedicated to dry product storage.

Site work and footings are currently going in at the facility located at 3211 Cypert Way in the New Horizons Industrial Park in Ardmore, and building construction on the new portion of the structure is scheduled to begin June 14th.

The Stellar Group (Jacksonville, Florida) has been selected as the prime contractor for this estimated $11 million project and most of the major bid packages are on the street and due back soon.

Completion and start-up is expected by January 20, 2005.
