Enterprise Products Partners Plans to Add 50,000 Barrels a Day of NGL Capacity to Mid-America Pipeline
The expansion will affect pipeline facilities from the Wyoming gathering operations area to the Hobbs, Texas, pump station.
Released Monday, June 06, 2005
Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Mid-America Pipeline Company LLC (Houston, Texas), a subsidiary of Enterprise Products Partners LP (NYSE:EPD) (Houston, Texas), is planning to expand the Rocky Mountains leg of its NGL pipeline from its present 225,000 barrels per day to 275,000 barrels per day. The Rocky Mountains Expansion Project will encompass both the addition of several new 16-inch diameter pipeline looping segment additions and the addition of several new turbine-driven pump sets.
Mid-America has no plans for any new NGL pump stations for this expansion project, and the upgrades and modifications will, for the most part, take place within the existing station boundaries, with some minor boundary adjustments. Mid-America hopes to complete all regulatory issues and begin construction on the Rocky Mountains Expansion Project in late 2005 or early 2006. The exact scheduling is somewhat tied into current capital outlays at its Mount Belvieu NGL fractionator expansion, ongoing now, and a planned 60,000-barrel-per-day expansion planned in the near future for Mount Belvieu.
