Ethylene Startups Planned for December are Delayed, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Earlier this month, three new ethylene units looked mostly prepared to begin commercial operations during the month of December. Considering this was a stretch goal, it's not surprising that none of them will successfully begin commercial operations before the end of the year. However, two of those units have begun to circulate product, and are running supporting utilities in preparation for a potential January start. Each of these units is located in Louisiana, and they represent a combined 5.4 billion pounds per year of new ethylene capacity.
