FibroWatt Begins Development of Additional Poultry Litter/Biomass Power Plants

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--FibroWatt LLC (Newtown, Pennsylvania), a 70/30 joint venture of Homeland Renewable Energy LLC (Bedford, New Hampshire) and Energy Power Resources Limited (Woodbridge, England), is moving ahead with projects in five states: Arkansas, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi and North Carolina.

Fibrowatt has been in conversations with government entities, electric utilities, and the poultry industry in the five states to install more than 10 power plants that utilize/dispose of poultry litter being produced by the local poultry industries. North Carolina has shown the most interest with groups in five counties contemplating building a power plant in the area.

This basic plant concept will allow FibroWatt to develop, permit, finance and construct more than one project at any given time. Two things that must be at the forefront of all projects before construction starts are having power sales agreements in place, along with securing the appropriate permitting.
