Mountaineer NGL Storage Seeks Customers for NGL Caverns
Mountaineer NGL Storage LLC is seeking customers for its planned 2-million-barrel natural gas liquids storage cavern near Clarington, Ohio. Construction has been delayed until the end of the year while Mountaineer seeks customers. Completion is scheduled for mid-2018. The storage terminal will have up to four caverns to serve producers in the Marcellus and Utica shales. The terminal will have a 10,000-barrel-per-day load-in and load-out capacity via truck and rail, with future plans for pipeline and river barge transport (Plant: 3208117).

New Natgas Processing Plant Proposed for Delaware Basin
Howard Midstream Energy Partners and WPX Energy plan to build a 200-million-standard-cubic-foot-per-day (MMSCFD) natural gas processing plant in the Delaware Basin. Construction is proposed to begin in late 2017, with the plant coming online in mid-2018. The plant is designed to be expandable to 400 MMSCFD, depending on favorable market conditions (Plant: 3257907).

Vaquero Midstream Starts Construction on Second Cryogenic Natural Gas Train in Pecos County, Texas
Vaquero Midstream has begun construction on its second 200 million-standard-cubic-foot-per-day (MMSCFD) train near Coyanosa in Pecos County, West Texas. The expansion will double the plant's capacity to 400 MMSCFD of natural gas sourced from the Delaware Basin. Construction is expected to be complete in early 2018. The plant is designed to be expandable to 800 MMSCFD. The timeline of future phases is contingent on market conditions and customer demand (Plant: 3154288).

Dow's Freeport PDH Unit to Restart Next Week after Maintenance
Dow Chemical's 1.65-billion-pound-per-year propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit at its Freeport (Oyster Creek), Texas, plant remains offline. The short-notice planned maintenance turnaround is wrapping up, with the finalization of minor repairs. The unit is expected to restart July 12.

Williams Completes Sale of Geismar Olefins Plant to NOVA Chemicals
Williams Partners has completed the $2.1 billion sale of its membership interest in the Geismar, Louisiana, olefins plant and associated complex to NOVA Chemicals. Williams Partners will provide feedstock to the Geismar olefins plant via Williams Partners' ethane pipeline system in the U.S. Gulf Coast. Williams continues to streamline its operations into its core pipeline transportation business (Plant: 1018074).

Gentleman Power Station Unit in Nebraska Offline for Repairs
Unit 02 of Nebraska Public Power Districts Gerald Gentleman Power Station is offline while work is done to repair a boiler tube leak. The 681.3-megawatt, coal-fired unit is expected to remain offline until Saturday, July 8 (SPP) (Plant: 1014369) (Outage: 377676).

Monthly Renewable Electricity Generation Exceeds Nuclear for First Time Since 1984
U.S. monthly electricity generation from utility-scale renewable sources in both March and April exceeded nuclear generation for the first time since July 1984. This outcome reflects both seasonal and trend growth in renewable generation, as well as maintenance and refueling schedules for nuclear plants, which tend to undergo maintenance during spring and fall months, when overall electricity demand is lower than in summer or winter (EIA).

ExxonMobil Shuts Down Beaumont Hydrocracker After Power Loss
A power loss forced ExxonMobil to shut down the 65,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) hydrocracker Thursday at its 350,000-BBL refinery in Beaumont, Texas. Power is expected to be restored later today, with hopes to initiate oil-in procedures over the coming weekend. No other units were affected (Plant: 1012964).

Coffeyville Refinery to Restart FCCU This Weekend
Personnel at the 132,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Coffeyville Refining refinery in Kansas hope to complete repairs and restart the 32,000-BBL/d fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCCU) by late Friday, July 7, or the upcoming weekend. The unit was shut down June 29 due to mechanical issues (Plant: 1014931).
