Dow Chemical tentatively expects to perform an approximately 30-day turnaround of its 3,307 million-pound-per-year LHC 9 Ethylene Unit in Freeport, Texas, beginning in early January.

Shell Chemical is in the process of restarting the 1,954-million-pound-per-year OL-5 Ethylene and 1,409 million-pound-per-year GO-1S Ethylene units, and related units, at its Norco, Louisiana, complex, after shutting down following Hurricane Ida's landfall on August 28.

Indelpro is on schedule for a 20-day planned maintenance turnaround of the 350 million-pound-per-year Polypropylene II and 240 million-pound-per-year Polypropylene I Units, in November, at its Altamira Plant in Mexico.

International
Stavrolen OOO continues with a planned turnaround of the 772 million-pound-per-year Ethylene 01 Unit and the 578 million-pound-per-year high-density polyethylene unit at its Budennovsk Chemical Complex in Russia. The turnaround began on October 12, and the restart is expected by November 15.

Yara Sluiskil BV has scheduled a planned major maintenance turnaround of the 500,000-metric-ton-per-year Ammonia 3 (Reformer D) Unit at its Sluiskil Fertilizers Plant in the Netherlands. The two-month turnaround is expected to kick off in mid-October 2022.

JSC Azot Cherkassy, in late September, began planned maintenance on the 400,000-metric-ton-per-year Ammonia 01 (A-3) and 440,000-metric-ton-per-year Urea 02 (M-2) Units at its Azot Cherkassy Fertilizers Plant in Ukraine. The units were shut down in late September, and the restart is expected in early November.
