Suncor Energy started 35 days of planned maintenance on the 8,500-BBL/d FCCU 2, on April 12, at the Plant 2 (East) area of its 108,000-BBL/d Denver Refinery in Commerce City, Colorado.
Marathon restarted the 20,000-BBL/d Distillate Hydrotreater (Gas Oil) unit on April 12 at its 101,000-BBL/d Saint Paul Park, Minnesota, refinery, after shutting it down on April 8.
Pemex TRI's entire 285,000-BBL/d Lazaro Cardenas (Minatitlan), Mexico, refinery, remains shut down following an explosion on April 7. Damage evaluation is ongoing, and the cause is under investigation. A restart date is undisclosed at this time.

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) continues with a planned turnaround of the 70,000-BBL/d Diesel Hydrotreater Unit 1, which began March 26, at its 660,000-BBL/d Jamnagar Domestic Tariff Area Refinery in India. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the unit by April 16 instead of April 24. Additionally, RIL has rescheduled the 30-day planned turnaround of the 47,000-BBL/d Kerosene Hydrotreater Unit as procurements are delayed due to COVID-19. The turnaround, previously planned to begin April 15, is now expected to begin on June 1.
Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) restarted the 33,000-BBL/d ARDS Unit 1 on April 8 at its 346,000-BBL/d Mina Al Ahmadi Refinery in Kuwait. The unit had been under a planned maintenance shutdown since March 15. Separately, KNPC continues with a 35-day planned shutdown of the 33,000-BBL/d ARDS Unit 2, which also began on March 15. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the unit by April 18.
ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd has been operating its 300,000-BBL/d Jurong Refinery (Mainland) in Singapore at approximately 60%, since March 7, due to low demand as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The refinery previously had been running at approximately 65% since October 31, 2020. Tentative expectations are to further reduce the throughput beginning in July. Eight major units are included in this event.
