Israel Restarts Limited Gas Exports Amid Ongoing Conflict - Israel has resumed limited natural gas exports from surplus supplies, the country's Energy Ministry said on Thursday, nearly a week after shutting down two key offshore fields as Israel and Iran wage an air battle. A ministry spokesperson told Reuters that exports are now resuming "from surpluses, after domestic needs are met." An energy ministry source said most of the limited exported gas is currently flowing to Jordan, and only "tiny volumes" reached Egypt last week. (Reuters)

New Jersey Launches Incentive Scheme for Energy Storage - New Jersey has launched a statewide energy storage initiative aimed at providing incentives for the deployment of up to 2 gigawatts (GW) of battery storage capacity by the end of the decade. Phase 1 will back the installation of at least 1 GW of energy storage facilities directly connected to the main power. Incentives for the projects will come from existing funds. The second tranche is due to be launched in the first half of 2026 to allocate the remaining capacity in Phase 1. U.S. Rig Count Declines for Seventh Consecutive Week - The total number of active drilling rigs for oil and gas in the United States fell yet again last week, according to new data that Baker Hughes Company (Houston, Texas) published on Friday, following a four-rig decrease in each of the two weeks prior. The total rig count in the U.S. fell by one to 554 rigs in the week ending June 20, according to Baker Hughes. Oil rigs declined by one to 554 rigs, while gas rigs fell by two to 111. The miscellaneous rig count rose by two to five. (OilPrice.com)
