Jindal SAW USA to Add Welded Pipe Mill in Texas, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Jindal SAW USA, a subsidiary of JSW Group, plans to expand its existing pipe coating and joining plant in Baytown, Texas, by adding a 300,000-ton-per-year welded pipe mill. The $80 million-to-$100 million investment will allow Jindal to make line pipe with outside diameters between 8 inches and 26 inches.

The pipe mill equipment has already been purchased from China, and site work and installation is expected to begin in September. Production is planned to commence in the third quarter of 2020.
