Large Floating Windfarm Planned for Offshore South Korea

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Green Investment Group (Edinburgh, Scotland, U.K.)-TotalEnergies (NYSE:TTE) (Courbevoie, France) (GIG-TotalEnergies) has signed an agreement with the Donggeochado Offshore Wind Power Promotion Committee to build a 400-megawatt floating windfarm in the waters of Mangol Island, Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do in South Korea.

GIG-TotalEnergies promoted this agreement with a stakeholder, Cohabitation Chado Offshore Wind Power Promotion Committee, from the initial stage of the project. GIG-TotalEnergies also signed an agreement with the Jeollanam-do Mangol Islands Offshore Wind Power Project Promotion Committee in April.

"With this agreement, local residents will be able to increase their understanding of the offshore windfarm project that is being promoted in the vicinity, and to actively participate in the project from the beginning," said the co-chair of the Offshore Wind Power Development Promotion Committee.
