The life science industry continues to pick up steam in Latin America, excluding Mexico, with 43 new manufacturing plants or research facilities in planning, engineering or under construction. Spanning the entire spectrum of products found within the various industry sectors, the projects feature such companies as CannaPur and its plans for a $53 million cannabis oil processing plant in Uruguay, or along the more traditional route of Hipolabor Farmaceutica's $18.5 million grassroot tablets, capsules and creams plant now under construction in Brazil.
