Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). United Suppliers Incorporated (Eldora, Iowa) and Global Resource Recovery Organization (Bradenton, Florida), as joint venture partners, have received tentative capital approval for a new fertilizer plant to be located in Eldora, Iowa (Plant 1063357). The fertilizer will be produced from pig waste utilizing Global Resource Recovery's Balvanz's technology. Two 16,000 square foot buildings will be constructed to house up to 1,000 pigs and with Balvanz's system will use large scrapers to remove waste from these swine confinement areas. When the desired height is reached, the tempest drying system will automatically shift on and the waste is dried using an air spinning process up to 500 miles an hour in a cyclonic system (PEC 29000881). This process kills e-coli and pathogens and eliminates odors.
The new plant will be constructed shortly after final approval is obtained and with plans to have the plant up and running by early 2005. This location was chosen for the new plant because Iowa is the number one swine producer in the United States. Balvanz's technology has huge environmental benefits by reducing pig waste by 90 percent. This system will not only improve air quality and reduce odors but will improve soil quality. United Suppliers will supply the buildings and the manufacturing expertise while Global Resource Recovery will provide the technology.
United Suppliers is one of the leading manufacturers of mixed liquid fertilizer. Their joint venture partner Global Resource Recovery focuses on the recovering of biosolids and biomass and providing solutions for organic treatment by creating and utilizing the best available technologies.
