Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Nippon Steel Corporation (Tokyo) has begun studies to further shift from the blast furnace (BF) steelmaking process to the electric arc furnace (EAF) process by using the Yawata Works Tobata Area Steel Mill in Kitakyushu and the Hirohata Steel Mill in Himeji as candidate sites.
