Recochem Hopes to Relocate Plant by Summer 2009

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Recochem Incorporated (Montreal, Quebec) will be relocating its 100-employee plant currently located in Brampton, Ontario, during the early summer months of this year. The move will be to a newly renovated facility in Milton, Ontario, which cost nearly $38 million, consisting of approximately 750,000 square feet. The Brampton plant currently produces paint thinner and antifreeze products.

Considering the status of the general economy, this project expenditure is expected to reduce the opportunity of expansions for other Recochem sites this year. In hopes that the economy and demand will improve over the next year, Recochem is hopeful for approval later this year for three smaller projects at its site in Nisku, Alberta. These projects could include the installation of a new storage tank, repair of a tank leak and installation of a small filling line.
