Saudi Arabia Strives to Go Green
According to Saudi Arabia's National Renewable Energy Program (NREP), the country is planning to add 58.7 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy by 2030, of which 40 GW would be from solar.
NEOM is a well know project being developed in Saudi Arabia. NEOM, a futuristic city to be developed by Saudi Arabia near the Red Sea, will be home to one of the world's largest green hydrogen plants, which will be powered by 4 GW of solar and wind power.
