Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China)--Shandong Electric Power Construction No.2 Company (SEPCO2) (Jinan, Shandong), a subsidiary of Power Construction Corporation of China (PowerChina) (Beijing), kicked off the foundation excavation for the main powerhouse for Unit 1 of Datang Binzhou Power Generation Company Limited's (Binzhou, Shandong) 700-megawatt (MW) cogeneration power project on February 20, 2014. Through public bidding, SEPCO2 won the main construction contract in Bid A, which includes the construction of Unit 1, as well as the centralized control building; startup boiler room; fuel oil system; ash-conveying system (including the ash storage); air-compressor system; erection of the first heat supply station, as well as associated pipeline works; and the construction of the step-up substation.
Beijing Electric Power Construction Company Limited (Beijing), a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) (Beijing), is responsible for the construction of Unit 2 (Bid B). As the winner of Bid C and Bid D, Shandong Electric Power Construction No.1 Company (SEPCO1) (Jinan, Shandong) is responsible for the construction of the chimney structure (Bid C), and the construction of the cooling towers, circulation water pump room, and circulating water pipeline works (Bid D).
The main turbine, generator and boiler equipment for the project is to be supplied by Harbin Electric Corporation (Harbin, Heilongjiang). Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consultation Institute (SEPECI) (Jinan, Shandong) is responsible for the design and engineering of the project.
According to the schedule, the first concrete placement for the unit is expected to begin on March 15, 2014, and the unit will begin commercial operations on July 15, 2015.
