São Martinho SA, through its subsidiary Nova Fronteira Bioenergia SA, has signed a contract with Fluid-Quip Technologies LLC - South America to provide process engineering services, key equipment, field engineering support plus start-up and commissioning services for their new corn-based ethanol unit addition at the existing sugarcane-based ethanol plant in Quirinopolis, Brazil.
The R$362 million ($63.64 million) investment will ensure the production of 200 million liters of corn-based ethanol in addition to corn distillers dried grains, corn oil and the expansion of the pre-existing dry yeast unit. Construction is set to kick off in October 2021 with the unit operational by November 2022.
