South Korea Strives for World Leadership in Fuel Cell Power Projects

What is touted as the world's largest fuel cell power plant project is expected to begin construction in Songsan-ri, Yanggam-myeon, Hwaseong-si.

Korea Western Power has signed a business agreement with Hwaseong City and Samchully to promote the Hwaseong Yanggam Fuel Cell Power Generation Project.

The 80-megawatt plant is planned for completion in 2024. It would be the world's largest fuel cell power plant on a single site, according to its developers.

This project is a large-scale project, with an investment of about 545 billion won (US$490 million).
