Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Texas Instruments (NASDAQ:TXN) (TI) (Dallas, Texas) is expanding two of its operational plants in Malaysia. Both locations manufacture analog and embedded processing chips that are used widely in the electronics and electric vehicle (EV) markets.

TI expects to spend a total US$3 billion to expand its manufacturing capacity at facilities in Melaka and Kuala Lumpur. Both projects include new assembly and test factories, with a minimum cleanroom space of approximately 400,000 square feet. TI aims to complete both projects by 2025.
