INEOS Olefins & Polymers, on January 24, was forced to shut down its La Porte Battleground Manufacturing Complex in Texas due to severe weather that caused a loss of power and utilities to the plant. A damage assessment is underway, and a restart timeline has yet to be established.

LACC LLC has restarted its 2.2 billion-pound-per-year ethylene unit in Westlake, Louisiana, after it experienced a process upset due to Winter Storm Elliott in late December. LACC is a joint venture between Lotte Chemical and Axiall.

Invista's (formerly Flint Hills) 1,450-million-pound-per-year Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) Unit in Houston, Texas, remains offline. The turnaround began in late November, and the unit is currently estimated to restart in late February. A debottleneck project will be completed during the turnaround that will increase the capacity of the unit by approximately 90 million pounds per year.

International
Borealis Kallo NV has started a planned, approximately three-month major maintenance turnaround of the 1,058-million-pound-per-year PDH Unit at its Kallo Propane Dehydrogenation Plant in Belgium. The completion is expected in late March.
